Okay…according to my survey you filled out, a HUGE majority of you have been reading and visiting web sites about Internet marketing, but don’t have your own online business.

Wow! We need to do something about that…

Maybe it’s because you don’t have a topic yet or maybe it’s because you’re not sure how to put all the pieces together. But I have an hunch it could be something else…

I think it’s because you don’t really believe this Internet stuff could work for you. Sure, you see GURUS with big email lists do it, but you are not totally convinced that YOU can really make any money at this.

I know exactly how you feel.

When I shut down my construction company 4 years ago to move to Idaho to attend seminary…I thought, “What in the world have I done?!?”

You see, I had spent 20 years building that company and I made a handsome six-figure salary. The thought of starting over with an Internet business was a little frightening. Especially with a full-time seminary reading load on top of starting a new online business!

How in the world could I pull this off? What if I started an online business and it turned out to be a complete waste of time?

But in 3 short years, I had replaced my six-figure construction salary – the one that took me 20 years to get to! And I gained enormous freedom in the bargain.

If you would like to see some case studies on how my wife and I did this in 3 short years, here is a short video you need to watch…

CLICK HERE to see the video (it will take a few seconds to show).

So, how did we do it? Or more importantly, why did we believe we could do it. You see, that is the real question. With all of the potential on the Internet, there is no doubt in my mind that you an do this. But you need to “break out” of the box.

Yes, you need tools. And yes, you need instruction. but most importantly, you need to see how someone else did it so you can have the confidence to do it yourself.I have said it many times…I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. But I don’t have to be. I only need passion for a topic and a confidence that I will win more times than I will lose.

Actually, online business is very much like baseball in that way. We pay someone a gazillion dollars a year to NOT reach first base 2 out of 3 times! Think about that. Only the greatest hitters in history have a batting average over 300 – which means they failed 2 times for every 1 time they succeeded.

Thankfully, starting a business on the Internet is WAY easier than hitting a curve ball!

  1. Steve,

This was exactly what I needed to see! Having enjoyed so many of the products you case study, it’s encouraging to hear your real life analysis of what you and Kerry did right *and* wrong. And to see your progression of success.

I do believe anyone can do this. (And I am not producing “How to sell online” internet resources.)

    Steve,

Thank you so much for the videos. They are very inspirational. You and Kerry seem like “regular people” and it is encouraging to hear about your success. I’m looking forward to learning much more!

    Stephan,

Thanks, again! I’m looking forward to hearing more of your down-to-earth outlook on things.

    Steve,

Your positive attitude is 99% of the battle. As you said, even when everything goes wrong you just need to keep on going. And look what happened! I applaud Kerry for not listening to the “nay sayers” (you) in these particular instances, even though I’m certain that your advice is normally excellent. Sometimes we can’t see someone else’s vision and therefore think it won’t work. However, Listening to negativity can destroy your ambitions. You and Kerry are a dynamic team!

  5. [...] you want to see reasonable examples of what we have done with information products, you can watch video #3 on my blog. However, the course is designed for you to have an information product launched to a hungry group [...]

  6. I’m so happy that Kerry had the courage to proceed despite the negative feedback from her own husband.
Am curious to know if you are still using the same autoresponder that failed you, or if they resolved their glitch, and you still continue to use them.
When you offer a continuity product is this in the form of digital products as text, or personal one on one coaching, or a membership that offers discounts on your products, or…?
Thank you for your transparency in these videos.

    Steve,

Watching these videos was really like sitting down with a friend who is just going to be totally honest, and yet encouraging at the same time. Of course we will make mistakes, but it’s all to apply that learning to the next time. You guys are a great example of learning as you go, and to keep going.

I’m excited to be going through the course, and on our coaching call you gave me some ideas that never occurred to me, which is because you’ve been there. That’s the benefit to learning from someone else’s mistakes and expertise. I hope to apply “what went right” and avoid some of the “what went wrong” so thanks for pointing both of those out.

  8. Hi Steve & Kerry-
In this video you mentioned a couple times you built a “small list.” How many subscribers qualifies as a “small list” to you? One of the “gurus” had a big launch recently and he talked about selling something like $2.8 million in 24 hours or less to a “tiny list of just 8,000 people.” What would you say is the ideal size of a well-targeted, high quality list of double opt-in subscribers?

Thanks for the clear and simple info. I forwarded your blog to my husband prodding him to get started with info products, too. You’ve done great work!

    Warmly,

    Felicia,
You should always be growing your list – that is job#1 for anyone with an online business. That said, we did very well for a while with an email list of only 2000.

PS…if I had to choose between size of the list or the responsiveness of the list, I would choose the responsiveness.

  10. Stephen,
The video is informative, it gives a balanced view and I am sure it helps establish your credibility. After listening to the video, I plan to incorporate your practices of tracking and analysis in what I am doing.

Where can I find out more about your Family Business Workshops?

    Thanks for being so generous!

    Charles,
We are not doing any Family Business Boot Camps soon, but check out this course as an alternative:

    Hi Steve & Kerry,

I am so glad I found your site. I don’t even remember how i found it. I look forward to purchasing this product. I have purposed for this to be our year to prosper and I know that the info products method is where I should concentrate. I have affiliate sites that are making some money after only 3 months so your system gives me confidence that I can make “real” money on the internet.

After watching your videos, I finally believe I have information others need. I always felt I was a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. Now I feel excited that I have so many options to choose from. You have opened me up to the possibilities like no else has been able to do since I first got interested in info products when Matthew Lesko was big. I thank God for you sharing so much info in you free videos. I will definitely be purchasing soon.

May you continue to prosper exceeding, abundantly above all you could ask or imagine!

    Charlene

  13. Abby says:

    Thank you so much!

I am just finishing week two of your 8 Weeks to Profits course, and it has been so easy! I know practically nothing about business and the technical part of doing things on the Internet, but your course has made everything so clear and easy.

Your little videos like this one really drill the concepts into my brain. I think I will always remember that I need to get an e-mail list, and get the biggest need to write about.

Thanks so much for all you do!

  14. Kris says:

I have been researching online business opportunities for several months now and your videos were so clear and unfluffed. My brain has so much overload that some days I am in tears trying to untangle the information.
THank you for the clear concise explanations.
